The leagues matchs occurs during the SRPING (From January to May).
a) NCAA 1: - 3 doubles of 8 games with Advantage, Tie Break at 8-8, the team who wins the most doubles win 1 point. - 6 singles, each single is worth 1 point, the simples, chaque simple vaut 1 point, l'équipe qui a donc 4 points remporte la rencontre. - pas de "Net" au service
b) NCAA 2 et 3: - 3 doubles en 8 jeux avec Avantages, Tie Break à 8/8, un double vaut un point. - 6 simples, chaque simple vaut 1 point, l'équipe qui a donc 4 points remporte la rencontre.
2. NCAA Championship
NCAA Championship is set up in several phases: Les championnats NCAA se déroulent en plusieurs phases:
Preparation matches from August to December. The results only affect the individual ranking not the team ranking.
Regular season (NCAA Championship), the Universities of the same conference will play against one another to set up a ranking.
A conference tournament (in April) where the 8 best teams of the conference will compete.
Regional tournament (end of April) where the best 3 universities of each conference of the region will compete.
The Nationals where the best teams of each region compete !!!
3. Regular day of a Tennis Player / Student in the U.S
Class from 8:00 to 11:00 am
Physical Training in Groups from 11:00 to 12:00 pm
Lunch on campus with the teammates or classmates
2:00 to 4:00 pm 14h à 16h entraînement tennis
4:00 to 5:00 pm, recovery time, stretching, massage and physio
5:00 to 7:00 pm, homework, free resources at the library
4. Important things
Your tennis coach is your coach BUT NOT ONLY !!! He/she is your boss and first recruter. He/she is one of the main persons that will recommend you and testify for you in many situation. In addition, he/she is the one who decides to grant you your Tennis Scholarship. Being in good term with him/her is very important for your carrer at the University.
Such a trip must be planned at least 6 months in advance, you do not want to be in rush !! However, it is always possible to find a University in the last minute.
